Fizlog's widget already sits in your product for changelog updates. Turn on one switch and the same widget grows a "Send feedback" tab — no separate script, no new login for your users, no roadmap tool to maintain.
Three steps, no new integration beyond the changelog widget you already embedded.
On a project's dashboard page, check "Show a 'Send feedback' tab in the widget." No code change — the existing <script> tag picks it up automatically.
A visitor opens the widget, switches to the Feedback tab, and sends a short message (with an optional email for replies). You get an email the moment it arrives, with Reply-To set to the visitor's address when they left one.
Every message is also saved to the project's feedback inbox, newest first, so nothing depends on you catching the email in time.
Feedback boards (Canny, Featurebase and similar) are built for public upvoting and a visible roadmap — great once you have enough users for votes to mean something. Most indie projects don't: a handful of messages a week is easier to read as a short list than to manage as a board with categories, statuses and merge rules. Fizlog's feedback tab is deliberately the smaller tool: a message, an optional email, a dashboard list, an email alert. If you later need public voting and a roadmap, that's a different kind of product — see how Fizlog compares to Canny.
Because feedback and the changelog live in the same widget, the natural next step is already built: when you ship something a user asked for, publish it as a changelog entry. The same visitor sees it the next time they open the widget, or gets it by email if they subscribed — without you having to track who asked for what. Not sure how to word that entry? See our guide to writing good release notes.
Neither — it's a free switch on every project, Free plan included. There's no separate SKU for it.
No. The email field is optional and only used if they want a reply — nothing is required to submit a message.
Yes, the same checkbox on the project page removes the tab from the widget immediately; past messages stay in your dashboard.
No — messages are private, visible only to you in the project dashboard. There's no public list or voting; if you want that, a dedicated feedback-board tool is a better fit than Fizlog.
