Sign up (free for one project), create a project and open it. You need two values from the project page: the public key used in the embed snippet and the API key under "API access".
Beamer's dashboard has limited export options, so the importer reads your posts through Beamer's REST API. In Beamer, open Settings → API and copy your API key (read access is enough). The importer takes the first language of each post; categories like "Fix" or "Improvement" map to Fizlog's Fixed / Improved types, everything else becomes New.

If your Beamer plan doesn't include API access, copy your most important posts by hand in the Fizlog dashboard — you can set each entry's original date in the Publish at field.
Run the importer with --dry-run first to see every entry it found, then run it again without the flag. Entries keep their original dates and are imported silently, so no webhook or subscriber email fires for old posts.

Replace the Beamer widget code in your app with the Fizlog script tag. Without data-selector the widget shows as a small button in the corner; with it, the bell renders inside an element you choose.

Your Fizlog public page lives at fizlog.com/p.php?key=YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY, with an RSS feed next to it. Fizlog doesn't host custom domains, so if you linked to a Beamer page (or a custom domain pointing at it), redirect that path on your own site — e.g. /changelog → your Fizlog page — and update links in your app, docs and emails.
Open your app and the public page, confirm the entries look right, and only then cancel your Beamer subscription.
No. The importer sends every entry with "silent": true, so no Slack/Discord webhook fires and no subscriber email goes out. New entries you publish afterwards notify as usual.
Yes — each entry is created with the post's original date, so your changelog history reads the same as before.
Fizlog entries are text with links, bold, italics, code and lists — images aren't imported. Beamer's user segmentation has no Fizlog equivalent; every visitor sees every published entry.
Not automatically. Beamer subscribers agreed to Beamer's emails; ask them to subscribe again on your Fizlog public page (there's a subscribe box at the top).
